The caricature is the drawing that represents your pet across the app. It is generated on its own, in the background, and it retries if it does not finish.
If you uploaded a photo of their face, we draw it from that. It is the best result: it actually looks like them.
If you did not upload a photo, we draw it from their breed and color. On its own the likeness is generic, but it stays true to the species.
If they are mixed and no color was added, they get a generic per-species image. The color is picked when you create the pet; after that there is no way to change it from the app.
The drawing is generated after the pet is created: keep using the app and it appears when ready. If it stalls, leave the profile and come back and it starts again.
