What happens if I delete a pet?

Before you confirm, the app shows you exactly what goes: how your plan changes and from when, how many guardians lose access, and that your other pets are not affected. At the top, an amber banner reading Cannot be undone.

And it closes with the important part: if all you want is to stop paying for it, you can hand the payment to another guardian and the profile stays intact.

The other guardians get no advance notice. If you share the pet with someone, tell them first.

If it is your only pet, the app spells it out: you will have to start from scratch with a new one. The account is not deleted, but it is left empty.

If the pet is not yours, you cannot delete it — and you do not need to. You get Stop being Rocky’s guardian instead, with the pet’s name in it: you leave, the data stays with the owner, and they can invite you back any time.

If the reason is cost, do not delete it — cancel the plan. The account is locked until you reactivate it, but the pet and its whole history stay saved. Deleting is the only action in the app that cannot be undone.
